I had a prospect recently on a Friday who wanted a detailed, strategic marketing proposal – with full pricing – on the following Monday. The request was close to being unreasonable, but I recognized it as a challenge beyond just the standard RFP. If this was a test, was I willing to stand up, commit, even bleed a little for the chance to do business with this new client?
We all know what we want to accomplish. We all know how we’d like everything to turn out. But unless we’re willing to push hard, we also know what’s actually going to get done.
